A new thought-

Recently, I decided that I am going to challenge myself each week.  The challenges will consist of things that I have wanted to do, dreamed of doing, and scared of doing.

This week, I have decided to try to not eat meat for a week.  This is harder than I thought.  I decided to take this challenge to see if I could incorporate more veggies and wholesome foods into my diet. (Sometimes the size of the meat in the packaging at the grocery store scares me.)  Plus, it will make me more mindful of what I am putting into my body.

I haven’t told you that my job is very stressful.  In the middle of a special event, in the 13th hour of my work day, someone offered me a chicken nugget and… I ATE it!  Oooops.  I didn’t even think about what I was eating and that was only day 2 of this little challenge!

One of my favorite things to do when I get home is change into my pajamas and have either a glass of wine or an ice cold beer.

Stars and Stripes and work…

Right now, I should be getting ready for work.  Instead, I am browsing the web and day dreaming.  I love the Fourth of July!   It is full of memories that go back to my childhood, where I was in the neighborhood parade in a costume or float of some sort. Oh, and it being so warm that the fireworks painted on your face now resemble a Monet.  Because I have to work… I hope you all enjoy Independence Day and cookouts, beer, and company.

… happy listening

A case of the Mundays

Today, was my first day back to work after a week of vacation.  I am sure you can imagine the excitement of walking into work, only to be greeted by apathetic employees, urgent-unread-emails- needing all of your attention ASAP, and the realization that you would rather be at the dentist’s office than in your office at this moment.  And maybe you would rather have a hot poker stabbed in your eye.

However, my vacation was glorious.  I realized a lot in the 7 days of freedom.  I realized what I want in life, not to take myself/things so seriously, and that Tina Fey is my Hero.  I listened to music, drank coffee at leisure, kayaked to a winery, went bike riding, and got a hair cut.  Oh, and I started this blog on a whim because I decided I needed some hobby.  I will probably make sappy posts with sappy pictures and pensive videos.  But I promise that I will always be honest about how much I hate working and honey.  So, go ahead and judge oh and drop a line to say hello.  Let’s be friends!
